Happy birthday cupcake

Here it is Tuesday already. Time really flies, doesn't it? I still have some prep work to do for my party tomorrow night, but I am really excited to meet some new stampin' friends!

Today's post is a birthday card for the party we attended on Saturday. The birthday boy turned 7. The kids had a blast. It was at a "jumpy" place. You know, the kind with lots of huge inflatable slides and stuff. LOL

I'm off to get some work done. I have to get my full-time job stuff done before I can get the fun job stuff done! ;)

I used lots of retired stuff. I need to use of some of my stash so I can buy some more of the new papers! ;)
Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Crazy for Cupcakes, Teeny Tiny Wishes. Paper- Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Hand Drawn DSP (all retired), Whisper White. Ink- Jet Black Stazon. Accessories- SU! markers, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds.

Clearly Christmas!

I have been wanting to try my hand at making a clear card for some time now. I saw Dawn's video yesterday, and I just had to do it! My card is pretty much the same as hers since I made it along with her. LOL All I did was change the colors of the snowmen. I used my new In Color markers! It was so easy, and I will definitely be making more of them! (The card really is clear. I put black cardstock behind it so you can see the snowflakes. :) )

I hope you are enjoying your what's left of your weekend!

A rectangle from a square!

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a tutorial for you. I purchased the new SU! Exclusive Scallop Square die. I even made a square card with it. You can see it here. I wanted to be able to use it for a regular-sized card. I made a rectangle with the die that can be used on a regular A2 card. :) Click on any of the pictures for a larger look.

1. Cut a piece of cardstock to 5" X 4". Place on your die as shown and run through the Big Shot or other die-cutting machine.

2. Take your 3-sided scalloped piece and place it on the die with your scallops lined up inside the die.

3. Here is the finished piece! The final measurements are 4 3/8" X 3 1/2".

Here's the card I made with the first rectangle. It's just a quickie to show the size. I'll post another card using the Tempting Turquiose rectangle when I get it finished. :)

I'd love to see what you create with your rectangles! Make sure you leave me a comment with a link!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Love Bug (Level 1 Hostess set). Ink- Green Galore, YoYo Yellow, Lovely Lilac, Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, Real Red, Only Orange, Jet Black stazon. Paper- Lovely Lilac, YoYo Yellow, Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Whisper White. Accessories- Big Shot, Scalloped Square die, Scalloped Edge punch, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch.

Finial Press Elegance

Happy Friday! WooHoo! It's time for the weekend! I am going to be a busy bee. We have a 2-part birthday party on Saturday. One for the kids, then afterwards for family. On Sunday, I need to clean the house. You demos know what that means. It must be workshop time! LOL I have my Celebrate the new Catalog party on Wednesday night. I have 2 new stampers coming, and I am so excited to meet them! After I clean, I will get the prep work done. I can't wait. It has been too long since my last workshop! I love getting together with friends and stamping!

Anyway, on to the card.

This is the 2nd card that my stampers will make on Wednesday night. (The other samples are posted here. I hope they like them!) I think it looks quite elegant, and I am very pleased with the final outcome. :) I used Kraft and Very Vanilla cardstock. The large Very Vanilla panel was run through the Big Shot with the new SU! exclusive embossing folder called Finial Press. I rounded all the corners and finished up the card with some yummy Chocolate Chip taffeta. I left it without a sentiment. I think it would be great as a wedding or anniversary card or even a thinking of you card. My stampers can pick out a sentiment for the outside and/or one for the inside. I'll pick one for mine when I decide where it's going.

Don't forget about the Deal of the Week! The Big Shot bag is on sale for just $49.99! That's almost 30% off the regular price! You don't even have to have a Big Shot! It would make a great overnight or carry-on bag, too! We demos can get an even bigger discount...20% off the sale price! Want to join my team and get great discounts, too? It's a great time! There's a mini starter kit for just $85.00! If you want the regular starter kit, there's a fabulous special with that also...ALL the In-Color inkpads and In-Color cardstock, too! Click on over to my
demo website for more information! The password is emh813. Call me or e-mail me if you want to talk about it or have any questions! I would love to have you join my team!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Flowers in Silhouette (dormant list). Ink- Chocolate Chip. Paper- Very Vanilla, Kraft. Accessories- Big Shot, SU! exclusive embossing folder Finial Press, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, corner rounder punch.

Inspiration Challenge #51

Happy Thursday! It's time for another UDI Inspiration Challenge.

For today's card, I used the new SU! exclusive Texturz plate, Perfect De
tails. I rubbed the plate with Not Quite Navy ink, and then ran a piece of 6X6 Bashful Blue cardstock through my Big Shot. (You really need one of these!) Once that was done, I used the Magnetic Movers & Shapers scalloped oval die to cut out the opening for the sentiment. I used the cut-out for the bottom layer of the sentiment. The Oval All sentiment is stamped on Whisper White in Not Quite Navy ink and layered on Bashful Blue and then the cut-out. Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon finishes off the card. It measures 6X3 and fits in the Open End envelopes.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the other team members have created. Just be sure and give Maria a little time to post all the links. :)

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Oval All. Ink- Not Quite Navy. Paper- Bashful Blue, Whisper White. Acc
essories- Big Shot, Magnetic Movers & Shapers, Perfect Details Texturz plate, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Bashful Blue taffeta.
